Introduction of practical precautions for high-purity helium
Relevant introductions for the use of high-purity helium:
1. The pressure is usually 15MPa. When using, use YQY-12 or 152IN-125 pressure reducer before use. Before use, soapy water should be used to check the gas pipeline to ensure that the gas pipeline does not leak.
2. Make sure that helium does not leak and the workplace is ventilated. When the increase in helium content causes the oxygen content to fall below 19.5%, the patient will first experience rapid breathing, inattention, and ataxia; then fatigue, weakness, and restlessness will occur. , Nausea, vomiting, coma, convulsions, resulting in death.
3. When the exhaust gas of each bottle of helium gas is used, the residual pressure in the bottle should be kept at 0.5MPa, and the residual pressure should not be lower than 0.25MPa. The bottle valve should be closed to ensure the gas quality and safe use.
4. Bottled helium gas should be stacked separately during transportation, storage and use. It should not be near open flames and heat sources. It should be kept away from fire, oil wax, sun exposure, heavy throwing, or impact. It is strictly forbidden to put it on the cylinder. For arc ignition or arcing, barbarous loading and unloading is strictly prohibited. For short-distance movement of helium cylinders, special carts for steel cylinders should be used, and long-distance movement of cylinders should be transported by dangerous goods vehicles. The temperature of liquid helium is 4.25K, and contact with skin can cause severe frostbite.
5. The use and inspection of steel cylinders for storing helium shall comply with the regulations of the “Cylinder Safety Supervision Regulations” of the State Administration of Quality and Technical Supervision, and the gas cylinder inflation pressure shall not exceed the prescribed pressure. Safety helmets must be installed at any time, a protective gas valve, and gas cylinders shall be inspected every three years (except in special circumstances) for appearance inspection and hydraulic test. Only after the test is qualified, the test can be carried out in the inflatable unit.
